Maintaining the confidentiality of customer information is a top priority for Dominick & Dominick LLC. We maintain strict standards of security and confidentiality to safeguard non-public personal information our customers share with us and will remain vigilant in protecting the privacy of that information. Access to personal information is granted to our employees only to provide investments and services to clients, or to serve another legitimate business purpose. It is important to note that Dominick & Dominick LLC does not sell client information to third parties.

How and why we collect personal information.

In order to better understand your investment needs and make you aware of investments and services that could help you reach your financial goals, we collect personal information from a number of sources:

  • Information we receive from you as part of the process of opening and maintaining your account (such as your name, address, social security number, telephone number, net worth and income;
  • Information about all securities and other transactions, positions, balances, and other account information for accounts you open and maintain with Dominick & Dominick LLC;
  • Information we may receive from a consumer-reporting agency regarding your creditworthiness;
  • Information we may receive about you from other sources, such as your employer and other third parties, such as providers of mutual funds, annuities and other investments and services offered through Dominick & Dominick LLC or those third parties assisting us in various aspects of account administration.

How we share information about you with third parties.

We may disclose some or all of the information we collect, as described above, to affiliated or non-affiliated third parties with whom we have contracted to perform services on our behalf, such as our clearing agent; financial service providers, such as money managers, should you choose to participate in these types of services; information providers, such as consumer credit reporting agencies; and regulatory agencies and legal authorities, such as the SEC. Some of these companies may have and provide you with their own privacy policies. We do not disclose any personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as permitted or required by law or regulation. For example, we will disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order or regulatory agency demand. The sharing of information with these entities is essential for us to fully service our clients and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. We may use your personal information to verify your identity, including verification in accordance with the USA PATRIOT Act.

In addition, Dominick & Dominick LLC has signed the Protocol for Broker Recruiting (“Protocol”) which allows the broker servicing your account to take certain limited information in the event he/she leaves Dominick & Dominick LLC and joins another firm which has also signed the Protocol. The information your broker can take is limited to your name, address, phone number, email address and the title of your account. In the event you choose to keep this information confidential and not let it be taken by the broker servicing your account, please call 1-800-221-2869 to opt out.

We do not share your information with outside parties who may wish to market their products to you.

How we protect the confidentiality and security of your information.

We limit access to your personal and financial data to those employees and non-affiliated third parties who need that information to provide you with our services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to comply with applicable regulations to protect your personal information. Our employees are bound by a code of conduct requiring confidential treatment of customer information. Please assist us by safeguarding information about your account including numbers and any PIN(s) or password(s) you use to access your account information.
